With the win, Cordova upgrades its record to 9-10 on the year. The Blue Devils travel to Corner (Warrior, AL) to face the Yellow Jackets in a 5A Area 12 outing on Tuesday, September 6. The Yellow Jackets go into the outing with a record of 14-3. Corner won 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Hillcrest (Tuscaloosa, AL)

The Golden Gophers now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Bessemer City for a 6A Area 8 outing on Wednesday, September 7.
