The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Ford Panthers (Quinlan, TX) and the host De Kalb Bears (De Kalb, TX), saw Ford's volleyball squad beat De Kalb by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Ford upgrades its record to 7-9 on the year. The Panthers travel to Community (Nevada, TX) to play the Braves in a 4A Region II District 14 bout on Saturday, September 3. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 12-6. Community won 2-1 in their recent non-league bout against New Boston (New Boston, TX)

The Bears now own a 6-15 record. They play next when they travel to Lone Oak for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 3. De Kalb will play a Buffaloes squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Caddo Mills (Caddo Mills, TX). The Buffaloes record now stands at 7-13.
