Virginia High School Volleyball - Galax tips Rural Retreat

September 3, 2022: Rural Retreat, VA 24368

Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) supporters left the game in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Rural Retreat Indians (Rural Retreat, VA), 2-1 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Maroon Tide clash with the Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, September 3. Galax will attempt to advance on its 5-3 season record. The Cavaliers come into the match with a 3-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Pulaski County (Dublin, VA).

With the loss, Rural Retreat drops to 3-4 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Union (Appalachia, VA) to meet the Bears in a non-league game on Saturday, September 3. The Bears enter the game with a record of 8-0. Union won 3-0 in their recent non-league game against Thomas Walker (Ewing, VA)
