Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Robinson Rams (Fairfax, VA) and the visiting Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA), observed Robinson's volleyball team hold off Herndon by a count of 3-2.

The Rams (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Woodson (Fairfax, VA). The Cavaliers enter the Patriot contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Woodson was tipped by Oakton (Vienna, VA), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Hornets battle the Lake Braddock Bruins (Burke, VA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 5. Herndon will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Bruins enter the contest with a 1-1 record after their 3-0 league loss to South County (Lorton, VA).
