Match Summary
In our first ever home game, our Phoenix JV girls defeated the JV Lady Falcons at Wilde Lake Gym, giving them their first victory over the Lady Falcons in 5 tries, before a strong home crowd! The Phoenix starting lineup proved to overmatch their less experienced opponents, so many of our younger players from the bench came in and played a significant part in the match. They proved that they were ready to compete, helping to shoot down the Falcons in 2 sets that weren't even close. It was a nearly flawless serving performance by the Phoenix JV squad, and excellent performance from the bench came from three of our youngest players -- Phoebe Jones, Mara Miniclier and Kimber Herman -- who together served perfect games and had three aces and one point scored between them, in addition to solid ball handling!
