In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Mitchell Mountaineers volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Owen Warhorses.

The Mountaineers (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Draughn (Valdese, NC). The Wildcats enter the non-league challenge with a 10-0 record. In their last challenge, Draughn beat Avery County (Newland, NC), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Warhorses meet the Rosman Tigers (Rosman, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Owen will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Madison (Marshall, NC).
