Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the East Duplin Panthers (Beulaville, NC) and the visiting Midway Raiders (Dunn, NC), saw East Duplin's soccer squad hold off Midway by a count of 2-1.

The Panthers (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against James Kenan (Warsaw, NC). The Tigers enter the East Central 2A battle with a 4-0 record.

Next up, the Raiders confront the Union Spartans (Rose Hill, NC) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, September 4. Midway will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Spartans enter the battle with a 1-4 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC).
