Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Edina Hornets (Edina, MN) and the host Lakeville North Panthers (Lakeville, MN), saw Edina's soccer squad hold off Lakeville North by a count of 2-1.

The Hornets (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Minnetonka (Minnetonka, MN). The Skippers enter the Class AA Section 2 battle with a 4-0 record. In their last battle, Minnetonka tipped Minneapolis Southwest (Minneapolis, MN), 4-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Panthers battle the Eagan Wildcats (Eagan, MN) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, September 5. Lakeville North will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 5-0 record after their 4-1 non-league win over Waconia (Waconia, MN).
