Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars (Bridgeport, CT) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting North Branford Thunderbirds (North Branford, CT), 6-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Kolbe-Cathedral moves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Weston (Weston, CT) to meet the Trojans in a Southwest - Patriot test on Thursday, September 5. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 0-1.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Morgan for a Shoreline test on Thursday, September 5. North Branford will meet a Huskies team coming off a 1-1 non-league West Haven (West Haven, CT). The Huskies record now stands at 0-1.
