In Tuesday's non-league outing, the visiting Ligonier Valley Rams soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Southmoreland Scotties.

The Rams (2-2) will now prepare for their outing against South Allegheny (McKeesport, PA). The Gladiators go into the WPIAL AA 3 outing with a 1-4 record. In their last outing, South Allegheny was edged by Elizabeth Forward (Elizabeth, PA), 7-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Scotties confront the Waynesburg Central Raiders (Waynesburg, PA) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, September 10. Southmoreland will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Raiders go into the outing with a 1-2 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Brownsville (Brownsville, PA).
