Mayo Spartans (Rochester, MN) followers went home happy Tuesday as they saw their soccer squad triumph over the host Northfield Raiders (Northfield, MN), 5-0 in a non-league battle.

The Spartans (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against Mankato West (Mankato, MN). The Scarlets enter the non-league battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Mankato West was overwhelmed by Faribault (Faribault, MN), 4-2, in a league battle.

Next up, the Raiders battle the Century Panthers (Rochester, MN) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, September 5. Northfield will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 3-2 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Mankato East (Mankato, MN).
