South Cougars (Salina, KS) backers exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the visiting Rose Hill Rockets (Rose Hill, KS), 5-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, South advances its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Classical (Wichita, KS) to clash with the Saints in a non-league test on Thursday, September 26. The Saints come into the test with a record of 2-1.

The Rockets now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mulvane for a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division III-IV test on Thursday, September 5. Rose Hill will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Independence (Independence, KS). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-1.
