With the win, Charles City improves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Panthers host Mathews (Mathews, VA) to face the Blue Devils in a Tidewater test on Tuesday, September 10. The Blue Devils go into the test with a record of 0-2.

The Tigers now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Essex for a non-league test on Thursday, September 5. Sussex Central will face a Trojans squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 2-1.
