Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Monroe Hornets (Monroe, OH) and the visiting Wilmington Hurricane (Wilmington, OH), observed Monroe's volleyball team top Wilmington by a count of 3-0.

The Hornets (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Bellbrook (Bellbrook, OH). The Golden Eagles enter the Southwestern Buckeye - Southwestern contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Bellbrook notched a victory over Eaton (Eaton, OH), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Hurricane meet the New Richmond Lions (New Richmond, OH) in a Southern Buckeye - American contest, on Thursday, September 5. Wilmington will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Lions enter the contest with a 6-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Western Brown (Mt. Orab, OH).
