The South Brunswick Cougars held off the host Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes volleyball team by a margin of 2-1 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Cougars now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Ashley for a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 10. South Brunswick will clash with a Screaming Eagle team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to New Hanover (Wilmington, NC). The Screaming Eagle record now stands at 2-6.
With the loss, Cape Fear Academy drops to 2-3 on the year. The Hurricanes travel to North Brunswick (Leland, NC) to battle the Scorpions in a non-league match on Monday, September 8. The Scorpions enter the match with a record of 4-5. North Brunswick lost 2-0 in their recent league match against Ashley (Wilmington, NC)
