In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the host Taft Toreadors volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Sylmar Spartans.

The Toreadors (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Cleveland (Reseda, CA). The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Cleveland was nudged by Burroughs (Burbank, CA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans meet the Panorama Pythons (Panorama City, CA) in a challenge, on Monday, September 8. Sylmar will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
