Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Germantown Academy Patriots (Fort Washington, PA) and the host Academy of the New Church Lions (Bryn Athyn, PA), saw Germantown Academy's soccer squad knock off Academy of the New Church by a count of 3-1.

The Patriots (2-1) will now prepare for their match against George School (Newtown, PA). The Cougars come into the non-league match with a 0-0 record.

The Lions now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Calvary Christian Academy for a non-league match on Thursday, September 4. Academy of the New Church will meet a Cougars team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Delaware County Christian (Newtown Square, PA). The Cougars record now stands at 2-1.
