Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Geneseo Blue Devils (Geneseo, NY) and the visiting Alfred-Almond Eagles (Almond, NY), saw Geneseo's soccer squad triumph over Alfred-Almond by a count of 5-0.
The Blue Devils (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Wayland-Cohocton (Wayland, NY). The Eagles enter the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Wayland-Cohocton tipped Letchworth (Gainesville, NY), 4-0, in a non-league match.
The Eagles now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Andover for a non-league match on Monday, September 8. Alfred-Almond will meet a Panthers team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Friendship (Friendship, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 2-0.
