The Jersey Panthers soccer squad scored 2 points and held the visiting Wesclin Warriors to 1 in the Panthers non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Panthers now hold a 4-0 record. They play next when they host Southwestern for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 4. Jersey will play a Piasa Birds squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL). The Piasa Birds record now stands at 3-1.
The Warriors (0-5) will now prepare for their game against Staunton (Staunton, IL). The Bulldogs enter the non-league game with a 3-2 record. In their last game, Staunton was nudged by Newton (Newton, IL), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.
