In Wednesday's non-league outing, the visiting Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons soccer squad scored a tight 6-0 victory over the Kings Mountain Mountaineers.

The Gryphons (4-1) will now prepare for their outing against Carolina International (Concord, NC). The Comets go into the Catawba River 1A/2A/3A outing with a 1-3 record. In their last outing, Carolina International was overwhelmed by NCSSM: Morganton (Morganton, NC), 9-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Mountaineers confront the East Rutherford Cavaliers (Bostic, NC) in a non-league outing, on Monday, September 8. Kings Mountain will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Cavaliers go into the outing with a 3-2 record after their 3-3 non-league West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC).
