In Wednesday's league outing, the visiting South Plainfield Tigers soccer squad scored a tight 3-1 victory over the Metuchen Bulldogs.

The Tigers (1-1) will now prepare for their test against West Orange (West Orange, NJ). The Mountaineers come into the non-league test with a 2-0 record. In their last test, West Orange edged Montclair Kimberley Academy (Montclair, NJ), 1-0, in a non-league test.

The Bulldogs now sport a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to South River for a Greater Middlesex - Blue outing on Friday, September 5. Metuchen will play a Rams squad coming off a 4-1 league win over Carteret (Carteret, NJ). The Rams record now stands at 1-1.
