Spectators at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Tift County Blue Devils (Tifton, GA) and the host Houston County Bears (Warner Robins, GA), observed Tift County's softball team get by Houston County by a tally of 7-4.

With the triumph, Tift County improves its record to 8-2 on the year. The Blue Devils travel to Richmond Hill (Richmond Hill, GA) to face the Wildcats in a 6A Region 1 contest on Tuesday, September 9. The Wildcats enter the contest with a record of 5-3. Richmond Hill lost 7-5 in their recent non-league contest against Wayne County (Jesup, GA)

The Bears now hold a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to Colquitt County for a non-league contest on Friday, September 5. Houston County will face a Packers squad coming off a 10-1 non-league loss to Thomas County Central (Thomasville, GA). The Packers record now stands at 4-8.
