Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Academy of Our Lady Penguins (Marrero, LA) and the visiting Riverdale Rebels (Jefferson, LA), saw Academy of Our Lady's volleyball squad notch a victory over Riverdale by a score of 3-0.
With the win, Academy of Our Lady improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Penguins host Terrebonne (Houma, LA) to encounter the Tigers in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 4. The Tigers go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Terrebonne won 3-0 in their recent non-league battle against A.J. Ellender (Houma, LA)
The Rebels now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Martin's Episcopal for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 9. Riverdale will encounter a Saints squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Cabrini (New Orleans, LA). The Saints record now stands at 0-2.
