Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Academy of the Sacred Heart Cardinals (New Orleans, LA) and the host De La Salle Cavalier (New Orleans, LA), observed Academy of the Sacred Heart's volleyball team top De La Salle by a tally of 3-0.

The Cardinals (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against McGehee (New Orleans, LA). The Hawks enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, McGehee was beaten by Haynes Academy (Metairie, LA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Cavalier meet the Loranger Wolves (Loranger, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 4. De La Salle will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Slaughter Community Charter (Slaughter, LA).
