Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Bracken County Polar Bears (Brooksville, KY) and the host Nicholas County Bluejackets (Carlisle, KY), observed Bracken County's volleyball team top Nicholas County by a tally of 2-0.

The Polar Bears (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against Augusta (Augusta, KY). The Panthers enter the District 39 contest with a 2-1 record.

Next, the Bluejackets meet the Pendleton County Wildcats (Falmouth, KY) in a District 38 contest, on Monday, September 8. Nicholas County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record.
