Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Franklin Panthers (Los Angeles, CA) and the visiting West Adams Panthers (Los Angeles, CA), observed Franklin's volleyball team hold off West Adams by a count of 3-2.

The Panthers (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against Legacy (South Gate, CA). The Tigers go into the non-league battle with a 0-4 record.

The Panthers now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to King/Drew for a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. West Adams will encounter a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Harbor Teacher (Wilmington, CA). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 4-0.
