Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering Phoenix (Memphis, TN) and the visiting Freedom Prep Academy Eagles (Memphis, TN), observed Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering's volleyball team top Freedom Prep Academy by a count of 3-0.

The Phoenix (9-1) will now prepare for their contest against Trezevant (Memphis, TN). The Bears enter the A District 14 contest with a 5-2 record. In their last battle, Trezevant achieved victory over Douglass (Memphis, TN), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Eagles now own a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westwood for a non-league battle on Monday, September 8.
