Saguaro Sabercats (Scottsdale, AZ) backers were pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Tempe Buffaloes (Tempe, AZ), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Sabercats (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Desert Mountain (Scottsdale, AZ). The Wolves come into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Desert Mountain lost by Centennial (Peoria, AZ), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Buffaloes play the Marcos de Niza Padres (Tempe, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 8. Tempe will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Padres come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Mingus (Cottonwood, AZ).
