Florida High School Football - Tarpon Springs overwhelms Anclote

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Tarpon Springs Spongers (Tarpon Springs, FL) and the visiting Anclote Sharks (Holiday, FL), observed Tarpon Springs's football squad bounce Anclote by a count of 47-12.

The Spongers now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Gulf for a non-league contest on Friday, October 7. Tarpon Springs will encounter a Buccaneers squad coming off a 47-13 league win over Citrus (Inverness, FL). The Buccaneers record now stands at 4-2.

Coming up next, the Sharks encounter the Umatilla Bulldogs (Umatilla, FL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, October 7. Anclote will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 2-3 record after their 45-36 league loss to Mount Dora (Mount Dora, FL).
