The Athens Red Hawks football team (Troy, MI), was beaten 28-7 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting North Farmington Raiders (Farmington Hills, MI)
The Raiders (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Avondale (Auburn Hills, MI). The Yellowjackets come into the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Avondale was beaten by Ferndale (Ferndale, MI), 21-10, in a league challenge.
The Red Hawks now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pontiac for a non-league challenge on Saturday, October 8. Athens will meet a Phoenix team coming off a 49-0 non-league loss to Farmington (Farmington, MI). The Phoenix record now stands at 0-6.
