The Bayou Academy Colts football team (Cleveland, MS), was beaten 22-0 in Friday's league challenge with the host Pillow Academy Mustangs (Greenwood, MS)

The Mustangs (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Starkville Academy (Starkville, MS). The Volunteers come into the MAIS 5A District 1 challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last outing, Starkville Academy was topped by Magnolia Heights (Senatobia, MS), 24-14, in a league outing.

With the loss, Bayou Academy moves to 3-4 on the season. The Colts host Lee Academy (Clarksdale, MS) to encounter the Colts in a non-league outing on Friday, October 7.
