In Friday's league game, the Columbus Sailors (Waterloo, IA) football team were victorious over the visiting Beckman Trailblazers (Dyersville, IA), by a score of 41-13.
The Sailors (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Postville (Postville, IA). The Pirates come into the 1A District 4 game with a 0-6 record. In their last game, Postville was knocked off by MFL MarMac (Monona, IA), 84-16, in a league game.
The Trailblazers now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Sumner-Fredericksburg for a 1A District 4 game on Friday, October 7. Beckman will battle a Cougars team coming off a 33-14 league loss to Cascade (Cascade, IA). The Cougars record now stands at 3-3.
