In Friday's league game, the Belmont-Gilford Red Raiders (Belmont, NH) football team were victorious over the host Laconia Sachems (Laconia, NH), by a score of 20-7.
The Red Raiders (5-0) will now prepare for their game against Plymouth (Plymouth, NH). The Bobcats come into the Division II - East game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, Plymouth was knocked off by Souhegan (Amherst, NH), 46-0, in a non-league game.
The Sachems now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Thomas Aquinas for a Division II - East game on Friday, October 7. Laconia will battle a Saints team coming off a 14-12 league loss to Pembroke (Pembroke, NH). The Saints record now stands at 3-2.
