The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Carencro Bears (Lafayette, LA) and the visiting New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA), observed Carencro's football squad thwart New Iberia by a count of 51-34.

The Bears now own a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Lafayette for a non-league contest on Friday, October 7. Carencro will play a Lions squad coming off a 44-41 non-league win over St. Martinville (St. Martinville, LA). The Lions record now stands at 4-1.
