Iowa High School Football - Dowling Catholic topples Johnston

September 30, 2022: Johnston, IA 50131

The Dowling Catholic Maroons (West Des Moines, IA) football defeated the host Johnston Dragons (Johnston, IA), 42-19 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Maroons face the Ames Little Cyclones (Ames, IA) in a 5A Group 2 bout, on Friday, October 7. Dowling Catholic will attempt to advance on its 5-1 season record. The Little Cyclones enter the bout with a 5-1 record after their 42-13 league win over Lincoln (Council Bluffs, IA).

The Dragons (3-3) will now prepare for their bout against Sioux City North (Sioux City, IA). The Stars enter the 5A Group 2 bout with a 4-3 record. In their last bout, Sioux City North lost by Waukee (Waukee, IA), 24-14, in a league bout.
