In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Greenbrier East Spartans football squad scored a big 44-6 victory over the Hampshire Trojans.
In their next game, the Spartans clash with the Oak Hill Red Devils (Oak Hill, WV) in a Coalfield AA test, on Friday, October 7. Greenbrier East will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Red Devils come into the test with a 3-3 record after their 47-0 non-league loss to Cabell Midland (Ona, WV).
With the loss, Hampshire drops to 2-5 on the campaign. The Trojans host Grafton (Grafton, WV) to battle the Bearcats in a non-league test on Friday, October 7. The Bearcats come into the test with a record of 0-6. Grafton lost 16-0 in their recent league test against Elkins (Elkins, WV)
