The Groton Tigers football team (Groton, SD), was tipped 28-21 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Webster Bearcats (Webster, SD)

The Bearcats (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Roncalli (Aberdeen, SD). The Cavaliers come into the Northeast challenge with a 6-0 record. In their last challenge, Roncalli nipped More (Rapid City, SD), 21-6, in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mobridge-Pollock for a Northeast challenge on Friday, October 14. Groton will meet a Tigers team coming off a 42-24 non-league loss to Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central (Woonsocket, SD). The Tigers record now stands at 3-4.
