The Herreid/Selby Wolverines (Herreid, SD) football routed the visiting Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD), 66-26 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Wolverines face the Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] Battlers (Gettysburg, SD) in a Lake Region (9 Man) bout, on Friday, October 7. Herreid/Selby will attempt to advance on its 6-0 season record. The Battlers enter the bout with a 2-4 record after their 26-12 league loss to Leola/Frederick (Leola, SD).

The Wildcats (1-6) will now prepare for their bout against Warner (Warner, SD). The Monarchs enter the Lake Region (9 Man) bout with a 6-0 record.
