In Friday's non-league game, the St. Thomas Aquinas Trojans (Edison, NJ) football team were victorious over the visiting Hillside Comets (Hillside, NJ), by a score of 17-7.
The Trojans (5-1) will now prepare for their game against Rahway (Rahway, NJ). The Indians come into the Big Central - United Gold game with a 3-2 record. In their last game, Rahway was knocked off by Cranford (Cranford, NJ), 35-0, in a league game.
The Comets now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Johnson for a non-league game on Friday, October 7. Hillside will meet a Crusaders team coming off a 27-14 non-league loss to New Providence (New Providence, NJ). The Crusaders record now stands at 4-1.
