The Riverside Bulldogs football team (Avon, MS), was beaten 14-6 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting J.Z. George Jaguars (North Carrollton, MS)

The Jaguars (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Leflore County (Itta Bena, MS). The Tigers come into the 2A Region 4 challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Leflore County achieved victory over O'Bannon (Greenville, MS), 28-0, in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now sport a 0-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Delta Streets Academy for a non-league challenge on Friday, October 7. Riverside will meet a Lions team coming off a 36-8 non-league loss to Winona Christian (Winona, MS). The Lions record now stands at 1-6.
