Texas High School Football - La Marque prevails Wharton

September 30, 2022: La Marque, TX 77568

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the La Marque Cougars (La Marque, TX) and the visiting Wharton Tigers (Wharton, TX), observed La Marque's football squad defeat Wharton by a count of 27-9.

The Cougars now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Sweeny for a 4A-2 Region III District 10 contest on Friday, October 7. La Marque will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 28-14 league loss to Wharton (Wharton, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-4.

Coming up next, the Tigers encounter the Columbia Roughnecks (West Columbia, TX) in a 4A-2 Region III District 10 contest, on Friday, October 7. Wharton will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Roughnecks go into the contest with a 2-4 record after their 35-21 league loss to Bellville (Bellville, TX).
