The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS) and the host Saltillo Tigers (Saltillo, MS), observed Lafayette's football squad bounce Saltillo by a count of 56-7.

The Commodores now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Columbus for a 5A Region 1 contest on Friday, October 7. Lafayette will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 34-12 league win over Greenville (Greenville, MS). The Falcons record now stands at 2-4.

Coming up next, the Tigers encounter the Lake Cormorant (Lake Cormorant, MS) in a 5A Region 1 contest, on Friday, October 7. Saltillo will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The go into the contest with a 2-4 record after their 18-15 league loss to Cleveland Central (Cleveland, MS).
