The Lakeland Eagles (White Lake, MI) football edged the visiting Walled Lake Northern Knights (Commerce, MI), 17-13 in Friday's league bout.
In their next game, the Eagles face the South Lyon East Cougars (South Lyon, MI) in a Lakes Valley bout, on Saturday, October 8. Lakeland will attempt to advance on its 3-3 season record. The Cougars enter the bout with a 5-1 record after their 36-7 league win over Walled Lake Central (Walled Lake, MI).
The Knights (0-6) will now prepare for their bout against South Lyon (South Lyon, MI). The Lions enter the Lakes Valley bout with a 5-1 record. In their last bout, South Lyon nudged Kettering (Waterford, MI), 45-6, in a league bout.
