The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Ponca City Wildcats (Ponca City, OK) and the visiting Lawton Wolverines (Lawton, OK), observed Ponca City's football squad defeat Lawton by a count of 24-16.

The Wildcats now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Putnam City North for a 6A-II District 2 contest on Friday, October 7. Ponca City will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 34-0 league win over Northwest Classen (Oklahoma City, OK). The Panthers record now stands at 1-4.
