In Friday's league match, the host Middletown Knights football squad scored a close 7-0 victory over the Linganore Lancers.
In their next game, the Knights clash with the Urbana Hawks (Ijamsville, MD) in a Central Maryland match, on Friday, October 7. Middletown will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Hawks enter the match with a 5-0 record after their 38-0 non-league win over Gaithersburg (Gaithersburg, MD).
The Lancers (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Tuscarora (Frederick, MD). The Titans enter the Central Maryland match with a 0-5 record. In their last match, Tuscarora was nudged by Walkersville (Walkersville, MD), 21-0, in a league match.
