The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock Lions (Linton, ND) and the visiting Sargent County Bulldogs (Milnor, ND), observed Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock's football squad edge Sargent County by a count of 20-18.

The Lions now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] for a non-league contest on Monday, October 3. Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock will play a Cougars squad coming off a 52-6 league loss to South Border co-op [Wishek/Ashley] (Wishek, ND). The Cougars record now stands at 3-3.

Coming up next, the Bulldogs play the Kindred Vikings (Kindred, ND) in a B Region 1 contest, on Friday, October 7. Sargent County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Vikings go into the contest with a 7-0 record after their 28-0 league win over Central Cass (Casselton, ND).
