The Lone Tree Lions football team (Lone Tree, IA), was beaten 42-17 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting WACO Warriors (Wayland, IA)
The Warriors (6-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Winfield-Mt. Union (Winfield, IA). The Wolves come into the 8-Man District 6 (8 Man) challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Winfield-Mt. Union knocked off Tri-County (Thornburg, IA), 60-0, in a league challenge.
The Lions now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to New London for a 8-Man District 6 (8 Man) challenge on Friday, October 7. Lone Tree will meet a Tigers team coming off a 74-40 league win over Iowa Valley (Marengo, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-2.
