The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Plainview Pirates (Plainview, NE) and the visiting Lutheran-Northeast Eagles (Norfolk, NE), observed Plainview's football squad defeat Lutheran-Northeast by a count of 66-52.

The Pirates now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] for a D1 District 6 (8 Man) contest on Friday, October 7. Plainview will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 64-36 league loss to Neligh-Oakdale (Neligh, NE). The Bobcats record now stands at 3-3.

Coming up next, the Eagles encounter the Elkhorn Valley Falcons (Tilden, NE) in a D1 District 6 (8 Man) contest, on Friday, October 7. Lutheran-Northeast will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Falcons go into the contest with a 2-4 record after their 58-0 league win over North Central (Bassett, NE).
