In Friday's non-league game, the Whitney Point Eagles (Whitney Point, NY) football team were victorious over the host Montrose Meteors (Montrose, PA), by a score of 12-0.
The Eagles (2-2) will now prepare for their game against Lansing (Lansing, NY). The Bobcats come into the Section 4 Freelance game with a 1-3 record. In their last game, Lansing was knocked off by Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour (Watkins Glen, NY), 20-6, in a league game.
The Meteors now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hanover Area for a non-league game on Friday, October 7. Montrose will meet a Hawkeyes team coming off a 48-0 league loss to Holy Redeemer (Wilkes-Barre, PA). The Hawkeyes record now stands at 1-5.
