Mississippi High School Football - West Point trounces New Hope

West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team rout the host New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS), 42-7 in a league test.

With the triumph, West Point improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Green Wave host Cleveland Central (Cleveland, MS) to confront the Wolves in a 5A Region 1 test on Saturday, October 8. The Wolves come into the test with a record of 3-3. Cleveland Central won 18-15 in their recent league test against Lake Cormorant (Lake Cormorant, MS)

With the loss, New Hope drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Greenville (Greenville, MS) to confront the Hornets in a 5A Region 1 test on Friday, October 7. The Hornets come into the test with a record of 0-5. Greenville lost 34-12 in their recent league test against Columbus (Columbus, MS)
